The game loop, demo route, and controls.

Fell & Sell Beginner Guide

Start by learning one complete dungeon-to-shop cycle rather than chasing the deepest floor. Your first goal is not a perfect build; it is to return alive with enough materials to craft, stock a shelf, and understand how one expedition funds the next.

01

Your first profitable loop

Fell & Sell alternates between first-person expeditions and hands-on shop management. You enter the dungeon or forage in the living forest, bring materials and loot home, craft useful equipment or fixtures, stock the shelves, set prices, and reinvest the proceeds. The two halves are connected: furniture can improve both the shop's appeal and your strength on the next run.

On the first cycle, prioritize learning where the safe route home begins, what the inventory looks like near capacity, and how the shop communicates demand. Completing the loop once teaches more than gambling an early haul on an unknown room.

02

Know when to leave

The central decision is when to leave. Official store information confirms that dying costs the entire unbanked haul. Deeper floors offer rarer rewards, but every extra room increases exposure to enemies and traps.

Treat a safe return as progress; a full inventory has no value until it reaches the shop. A useful beginner rule is to reassess after a valuable drop, a large health loss, or the first unfamiliar trap. The official material does not publish an optimal extraction threshold, so use survival and replacement cost—not a made-up floor number—as the decision.

03

Turn loot into momentum

Back at the cabin, compare immediate needs. Stronger weapons and tougher armor help you push farther; fixtures and decorations can add persistent combat benefits and improve sales appeal. Check the Quest Board as well, because expedition feats can be converted into gold, equipment, and items.

Reinvest where it removes the largest bottleneck.

04

Price with evidence

You control the tags. Official guidance says prices respond to supply, demand, shop prestige, and decoration bonuses. Start near the information the game provides, watch the transaction display, and adjust one variable at a time.

A dusty shelf signals overpricing; a rapid sellout with weak profit suggests the opposite.

05

Settings worth checking

Demo 2.0 added full key rebinding, double-tap dashing, and an improved tutorial menu. Demo 2.0.1 added toggle options for sprint and crouch and changed TAB to a hold action. Configure these before a serious run so control friction does not become a combat mistake.

Exact default keys remain version-dependent.

06

What to verify in the live build

Fell & Sell changed quickly around launch. Demo 2.0 introduced destructible dungeon scenery, a transaction display, full key rebinding, double-tap dashing, a tutorial menu, and location nameplates. Demo 2.0.1 changed trap frequency, chest loot, potion drops, furniture scrolls, fire damage, and several controls.

Exact values should always be checked against the current build. Before copying any older route, confirm current controls, chest behavior, trap damage, and furniture effects in the live interface.
